Heres the solution that may possibly help fix and repair a damaged or malfunction qwerty keys on Nokia N97. This solution works if the N97 qwerty keypad membrane is already been replaced but some of the keypad keys still not responding.
The solution below shows the line paths of the Qwerty keypad connection of Nokia n97 PCB Board. This connection pattern shows the tracing guides including the qwerty keypad filter IC through to the Keypad pin connector.
There are two keypad filter chips used on Nokia N97 keypad circuits. - Switch off your phone and boot Galaxy Star Pro S7262 into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons (long press until the boot screen appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
- Extract the downloaded Odin3.09 zip file and run the Odin3 v3.09.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)
- Now connect your Galaxy Star Pro S7262 to your computer via USB cable
- In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM7]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
- Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
- Now, extract the downloaded firmware zip file, you’ll find a firmware file with extension .tar.md5
- In Odin screen, click on AP button and select the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension (The firmware file look something like: S7262XXDLJ5_S7262ODDDLI7_INU.tar.md5)
- Now, click on the Start button to begin the installation process, wait few moments.
- Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
- Your phone should automatically reboot after completion

Compiling Kernel Source

Exercise 2
As the kernel source is modified to add a new system call in Exercise1, then we need to compile it to generate a new kernel image and this new image is used at the next boot of the system.
(Mainline kernel is called as vanilla kernel)
Note: I am assuming that you are in source directory, at /usr/lib/linux-2.6.32
Step1: Assign kernel version tag.
To do so open the Makefile at the path /usr/lib/linux-2.6.32/Makefile and at the top of the file you will find the field EXTRAVERSION, edit as follows
$ Vim Makefile
Modify: EXTRAVERSION = mytest
*save the above changes to file.
Step2: Choose kernel configuration.
To do so type that following command. This will generate a configuration file “.config”. Any file that starts with “.” is a hidden file, to list the hidden files use option a with ls command.
$ make menuconfig (this pumps kernel info onto console, wait until prompt returns)
Note: refer to man pages on make, type “make help” at your terminal.
Step3: Compile the source to create kernel image (raw) and modules.
$ make
This takes around 30 min on a normal desktop, to speed up, create threads if yours is a multicore machine. To do so type the following command, here 4 is the no of threads.
$ make -j4
Step4: Install the modules on file system
To do so type the following command.
$ make modules_install
This copies the modules into disk space and adds folder at /lib/modules/[name]
Step5: Update bootloader and boot folder with new kernel information.
To do so type the following command.
$ make install
Grub contains the list of kernel images, one among them is chosen at boot time.

A refresh of Cydias repositories each day brings with it a whole host of newly upgraded tools and BattSaver for iOS 7 and 8 is one of the most commericial packages to benefit for an iOS 8/8.1 upgrade.
If you often find yourself having to charge your iPhone during the day and at random intervals, you will really benefit from BattSaver. This package is one of the most impressive and comprehensive options available for power management on jailbroken devices and it allows you to have greater control over what is actually going on in terms of power in your device. According to its developer, Xvolks, BattSaver can double your battery life. One of the most impressive aspects of this tweak is its intelligence and when installed, it will automatically monitor components within the system that are making excessive draining requests on your battery and then aim to shut them down when they arent in use. This tweak also has a built-in system that extends the battery life by reducing the number of charge cycles as well as providing a clear and intuitive monitoring view that allows you to keep an eye on the state of your battery in real time.
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus may have helped a number of people out with their short battery life issues but the potential to double your battery life is truly amazing. BattSaver cost $3.99 but this is well worth it. It is available for iOS 7 and iOS 8 and can be downloaded from the BigBoss repository. You do have to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad in order to use this tweak.
